Trollhammaren Live at Melkweg, Amsterdam

Here is a clip from Finntroll playing in Amsterdam in 2008. As far I can gather, this was for their fabled live DVD, that has never been released. A live CD of this entire concert was released in 2014, titled Natten Med De Levande Finntroll. As for when the DVD will show up, I am not sure. It might not ever see the light of day. This still works as quite a cool preview, however!

Nedgång Music Video

Here is the music video for “Nedgång”, track 4 from the Ur Jordens Djup album. This was uploaded from a show that shows music videos and the sound ins’t completely synched up. It is not clear to me where the official version is.

Trollhammaren Music Video

Below is the music video for Trollhammaren, track 4 from the Nattfödd album. This was Finntroll’s first music video and was, for many, the first exposure to Finntroll (including me!) The song remains their biggest hit, racking up 11.3 million streams on Spotify (as of June 22, 2020. The next most-streamed song, Under Bergets Rot, has 2.6 million streams). It is a mainstay of the Finntroll canon and a fan-favorite at live shows. Personally, I think Finntroll have a great number of better songs, but this one is still good and fun to play along with on the keyboard!

Live – Full Set – Oslo 2001

Here is a very old video of early Finntroll playing in Oslo in September 2001, according to World of Trollhorn, the uploader of this video. This isn’t professionally shot or sound-engineered, but it is fun to see both Katla and Somnium present during a live show. Worth checking out!
